Energy Efficiency Officer

This role would require approximately 30 hours per week which will include evening and weekend work. This is a fixed term contract to 31st March 2011 (10 months) Contract compensation is £15,000 to 18,000.00 based on experience. The main purpose is to meet with and assist householders to complete the Energy Saving Trust Home Energy Check form, follow up on recommendations, Advise householders on energy efficiency and new technologies and work closely with the Community Powerdown Officer. Being a Carbon Reduction project, applicants must live in or within 10 miles of Lauder. Applicants to have strong Communication skills (written and oral), excellent people skills, a good level of English and Maths skills, computer literate, self-motivated and able to work independently and over 18 years of age to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
